OM SRI-GURAVE NAMAH !

WELCOME

Welcome to the June edition of the ANGKOR BULLETIN. This will serve as a supplement to our website www.bhakticambodia.com. Devotees serving in the Kingdom of Cambodia would like to provide various information to our viewers to solicit their interest and participation, however that may be. We plan to make available literatures in the local Khmer language both those of the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) and those of the Varnasrama Book Trust (VBT).
We are looking for interested persons from the Kingdom of Cambodia who can help in various activities, including translation and printing of literatures into Khmer.

Materialistic person
“The person in material consciousness is convinced by false ego that he is the doer of everything. He does not know that the mechanism of the body is produced by material nature, which works under the supervision of the Supreme Lord. The materialistic person has no knowledge that ultimately he is under the control of Krishna. The person in false ego takes all credit for doing everything independently, and that is the symptom of his nescience. He does not know that this gross and subtle body is the creation of material nature, under the order of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and as such his bodily and mental activities should be engaged in the service of Krishna, in Krishna consciousness. The ignorant man forgets that the Supreme Personality of Godhead is known as Hrisikesa, or the master of the senses of the material body, for due to his long misuse of the senses in sense gratification, he is factually bewildered by the false ego, which makes him forget his eternal relationship with Krishna. (BG 3.27 purpoprt)

Surrendering all works to Krsna
Therefore, O Arjuna, surrendering all your works unto Me, with full knowledge of Me, without desires for profit, with no claims to proprietorship, and free from lethargy, fight.”
... Everyone, according to his quality and position, has a particular type of work to discharge, and all such duties may be discharged in Krishna consciousness ... That will lead one to the path of liberation. ( BG 3.20)
By worship of the Lord, who is the source of all beings and who is all-pervading, a man can attain perfection through performing his own work.
... Everyone should think that he is engaged in a particular type of occupation by Hrisikesa, the master of the senses. And by the result of the work in which one is engaged, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, should be worshiped. If one thinks always in this way, in full Krishna consciousness, then, by the grace of the Lord, he becomes fully aware of everything. That is the perfection of life. ... (BG 18.46)
“In this way one should work according to his own nature; no work is abominable, if performed in the service of the Supreme Lord. ...everyone should be engaged according to the particular mode of nature he has acquired, and he should decide to work only to serve the supreme cause of the Supreme Lord.” ( BG 18.47 purport)

Don’t waste a time
“First of all find out what is easily done by you. Don’t take anything which is not easily done by you. You find out what is your occupation, what you can very nicely and easily perform, and do it for Krishna. That’s all. Is that clear? Expert? This is expert. Expert does not mean that I do not know how to drive motor car, and I will have to imitate somebody, “Oh, I shall become driver.” Why? If you do not know driving, why should you attempt driving? Whatever you know, you just try it, that business, and try to satisfy Krishna. If you know driving, that’s all right. But don’t take... My Guru Maharaja explained that you haven’t got to learn anything extra for Krishna's service. Whatever you know, you just apply it... Then you become successful. Because our time is very short. We do not know when I am going to die. As soon as I am out of this body, I am completely under the grip of nature, and I do not know what kind of body I am getting next. Of course, Krishna assures that His devotee will never be vanquished. He will get good body. But I do not know what kind of body I am going to... Therefore before finishing this body I will have to develop Krishna consciousness very nicely. That is my success.” ( Srila Prabhupada, Make Vrindavana)
“If one who thinks that spiritual advancement, or even becoming a materially better person, means changing their personality, then this person will surely be frustrated. He or she will also be wasting valuable time and energy that could be used to enhance and utilise his or her own personality type for a good cause. It is even more dangerous to present only one ideal personality type for a devotee of the lord
. ( Urmila dd, ISKCON Community Jurnal)

Transcendental Hospitals
“In order to treat the heart diseases of the asuras, transcendental hospitals have to be opened at Gita Nagari apart from the ordinary hospitals that are run everywhere. These hospitals shall treat the Asuric patients with respect to their education, initiation, knowledge, and transcendental science, eating, enjoying and treatment of diseases altogether. That will be the special function of the Gita Nagari. If work is begun with the aim of serving the Internal Potency of Godhead, there will not be any check in the progressive work of the external Potency of Godhead, but such work will have a change in the Internal Potency of Godhead. The function of Iron stops when it is hot in association with fire, and at that time, the iron works as fire, with all its potency; in the same way, when work is begun in the realm of the Internal Potency of Godhead, the external potency stops functioning. We have already discussed the different potencies of Godhead, namely Internal and External
(Srila Prabhupada, concept Gita Nagari part 2)

Establish Varnasrama College, Vedic education by qualiy and work
The varnashrama college means to train people in varnasrama life. In human society a section of people must act as strict brahmanas. Similiarly, another section must act as strict ksatriyas, still another as strict vaisyas, and the rest will be considered as sudras and less than sudras or the candalas. This is a materialistic division, but spiritually anyone can be elevated to the transcendental position simply by devotional service. This is the sum and substance of the Vedic education.
So in the beginning if we start a vranasrama college to teach internationally students from all over the world to learn to be educated as brahmanas, as ksatriyas, as vaisyas, as sudras, by qualiy and work, that will be the basic principle of Krishna Consciousness. It is the duty of of the government to see that everyone is employed. This is only possible when varnasrama is established. At the present moment everyone is sudra. This is not very good for the human society. Everyone has a right to approach the Supreme Personality of Godhead but there must be a process for keeping the society in order. The intelligent class of men or the brahmanas, the martial class of men, the ksatriyas, the productive class of men, the vaisyas, and the working class of men, the sudras, all have the right to chant the Hare Krishna mantra and by such devotional service everyone will be elevated to the transcendental platform. But, there must be a divivsion according to quality and work. at the present moment, so many so-called educated persons are unemployed because the division of work is neglected. If this divisionof society is maintained, no one will be unemployedand there will be no unrest in society. It is a very scientific way of keeping peace in the world. (Srila Prabhupada on Varnasrama, Vedic Sociology)

Build a strong faith for this mission
... association of devotees because such association compares to a hospital. In a hospital, many people come together to get healed by taking their own medications and treatments. It is sometimes chaotic since each person has a different illness and must take different medications in order to recover. Furthermore, there is also risk that contagious diseases can spread to other devotees. Conversely, when devotees have strong faith, it also spreads and infects others. Whatever we have within our consciousness, we share with others through our association in the environment. ...( B.T.Swami )

Poison Destroyer
“Ja Ghar tulsi Aru gay, ta Ghar vaidya kabhu na jaye” meaning A house having Tulasi (sacred basil) plant and cow is never visited by a doctor. It is said: Jivantu Avadghnayah ta me vishsya dushanih. Meaning let cows live without slaughter for their whole life they remove poison and toxins. In ayurveda poisonous material are purified by cow urine only.

go mutre tridinam sthapyay visham ten vishudhyati” Meaning use of cow urine for three days cleanse poison.
Following is speciality of mother cow. If by chance some poisonous or harmful material enters cow’s food, she absorbs it in her flesh. She does not let it go into cow urine, cow dung or milk or releases in very small quantity. These results have been compared with other animals by feeding them various items and then testing milk and urine. Therefore cow urine and dung is pure and removes toxins. Cow milk is certainly anti-toxin. Cow urine is included in “panchgavya”. “Panchgavya” is said to be curer of all diseases. Panchagavya is made up of five cow products viz. milk, curd, ghee, urine and dung.

“Yatvagasthi gatam papam dehe tishthti mamke
prasnat panchgavyasya dahasagnirivendhnam

Meaning : From skin to bones, what ever sins (diseases) are in my body, are destroyed by panchagavya just as fire destroys fuel.

AYURVEDIC DESCRIPTION OF COW URINE & IT’S MEDICAL USE

Ayurveda is medical branch of Vedas. “Braham vakya janardanam” Meaning Vedas have emanated from Brahma’s mouth. It is for welfare of everyone. Therefore it is called aptopadesh i.e. advice by near and dear ones. Cow urine makes one disease free by prabhav (nature). “Acintya shakti iti prabhav” meaning: Inconceivable power is called “Prabhav”. Prabhav is that power which cannot be conceived and described. Qualities of cow urine are stated in ayurveda.

Hellish Planet

As stated in the Bhagavad-gita (3.27):
prakrteh kriyamanani gunaih karmani sarvasah ahankara-vimudhatma kartaham iti manyate
“The bewildered spirit soul, under the influence of the three modes of material nature, thinks himself to be the doer of activities, which are in actuality carried out by nature.” The foolish person thinks he is independent of any law. He thinks there is no God or regulative principle and that he can do whatever he likes. Thus he engages in different sinful activities, and as a result, he is put into different hellish conditions life after life, to be punished by the laws of nature. The basic principle of his suffering is that he foolishly thinks himself independent, although he is strictly under the control of the laws of material nature. These laws act due to the influence of the three modes of nature, and therefore each human being also works under three different types of influence. According to how he acts, he suffers different reactions in his next life or in this life. Religious persons act differently from atheists, and therefore they suffer different reactions.
Sukadeva Gosvami describes the following twenty-eight hells: Tamisra, Andhatamisra, Raurava, Maharaurava, Kumbhipaka. Kalasutra, Asi-patravana, Sukaramukha, Andhakupa, Krmibhojana.Sandamsa, Taptasurmi, Vajrakantaka-salmali, Vaitarani, Puyoda, Pranarodha, Visasana, Lalabhaksa, Sarameyadana, Avici, Ayahpana. Ksarakardama, Raksogana-bhojana,Sulaprota, Dandasuka. Avata-nirodhana, Paryavartana and Sucimukha.
A person who steals another’s money, wife or possessions is put into the hell known as Tamisra. A man who tricks someone and enjoys his wife is put into the extremely hellish condition known as Andhatamisra. A foolish person absorbed in the bodily concept of life, who on the basis of this principle maintains himself or his wife and children by committing violence against other living entities, is put into the hell known as Raurava. There the animals he killed take birth as creatures called rurus and cause great suffering for him. Those who kill different animals and birds and then cook them are put by the agents of Yamaraja into the hell known as Kumbhipaka, where they are boiled in oil. A person who kills a brahmana is put into the hell known as Kalasutra, where the land, perfectly level and made of copper, is as hot as an oven. The killer of a brahmana burns in that land for many years. One who does not follow scriptural injunctions but who does everything whimsically or follows some rascal is put into the hell known as Asi-patravana. A government official who poorly administers justice, or who punishes an innocent man, is taken by the assistants of Yamaraja to the hell known as Sukaramukha, where he is mercilessly beaten.
God has given advanced consciousness to the human being. Therefore he can feel the suffering and happiness of other living beings. The human being bereft of his conscience, however, is prone to cause suffering for other living beings. The assistants of Yamaraja put such a person into the hell known as Andhakupa, where he receives proper punishment from his victims. Any person who does not receive or feed a guest properly but who personally enjoys eating is put into the hell known as Krmibhojana. There an unlimited number of worms and insects continuously bite him.
A thief is put into the hell known as Sandamsa. A person who has sexual relations with a woman who is not to be enjoyed is put into the hell known as Taptasurmi. A person who enjoys sexual relations with animals is put into the hell known as Vajrakantaka-salmali. A person born into an aristocratic or highly placed family but who does not act accordingly is put into the hellish trench of blood, pus and urine called the Vaitarani River. One who lives like an animal is put into the hell called Puyoda. A person who mercilessly kills animals in the forest without sanction is put into the hell called Pranarodha. A person who kills animals in the name of religious sacrifice is put into the hell named Visasana. A man who forces his wife to drink his semen is put into the hell called Lalabhaksa. One who sets a fire or administers poison to kill someone is put into the hell known as Sarameyadana. A man who earns his livelihood by bearing false witness is put into the hell known as Avici.
A person addicted to drinking wine is put into the hell named Ayahpana. One who violates etiquette by not showing proper respect to superiors is put into the hell known as Ksarakardama. A person who sacrifices human beings to Bhairava is put into the hell called Raksogana-bhojana. A person who kills pet animals is put into the hell called Sulaprota. A person who gives trouble to others is put into the hell known as Dandasuka. One who imprisons a living entity within a cave is put into the hell known as Avata-nirodhana. A person who shows unwarranted wrath toward a guest in his house is put into the hell called Paryavartana. A person maddened by possessing riches and thus deeply absorbed in thinking of how to collect money is put into the hell known as Sucimukha.
