 1.  HOUSE PROGRAM

We have visited Prema Narayana prabhus house, and we arranged house program there. Both Dhira Shanta Prabhu and Sumana Prabhu helped Prem Narayana to cook Indian vegetarian food such as dahl, puri, sabji and sweet. After that we sang (bhajan) Hare Krsna Mahamantra, by mridhanga, karatala and harmonium. Some children also came and joined us. Finally we took prasadam together. The prasadam was very nice.

3. LEARN TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT

 --- Sufficient  Beans ---
By mercy from Guru Maharaja and Krsna, this month we are sufficient in beans. We have a commitment to continue it.from three months ago we were trying to produce more beans. We planted green beans, and three other kind of beans. Kumudaksa Prabhu brought some kind of seed. Among them, some Indian local beans seed also there. We have planted some, and some maybe next month.
--- Sufficient  Vegetables ---
We have planted several kinds of vegetables in our garden, Krishna Garden, which is locates near the corner of Wat Angkusa.  We have spinach, okra, water spinach, sponge gourd, eggplant, etc. The garden supplies our daily need of vegetables. So till today we don’t go to market for vegetables.

Green Bean

 --- Sufficient of - Cooking & Drinking Water ---
The last this month we were also sufficient in - cooking and drinking water. Before we bought clean water one day one thousand real for one bottle of 20 litres. Now in ashram, stay only two persons and we can try only us the pump water from garden. This water has been tested in laboratory of Prema Narayana Office. And the result of the test, explained that the water is clean and we can use for cooking or drinking. Prema Narayana said there is very little iron contained in the water, but no problem.
--- Sufficient of fruits ---
Guru Maharaja has instructed us to gradually implement self-sufficiency. So we have been stopping to buy fruits from market.  In Krishna Garden we already have the singapore cherry fruits. This cherry never stops to give fruit, so we can daily offer it to Supreme Lord, Preah Krishna. Beside that, we have also banana, and two other fruits tree. It is all enough for an offer to Krishna. By this instruction, we have commitment to stop buying fruits.

5. CELEBRATING NRSIMHA CATURDASI

On Thursday, 27th May 2010, according to Gaurabda Calendar is Nrsimha Caturdasi. Who is Nrsimha? Nrsimha is one incarnation of Lord Visnu. Nr is Sanskrit word for man, Simha is Sanskrit word for Lion. So, Nrsimha mean half-man half lion. Lord Nrsimha descended to this material world to kill demon king Hiranyakasipu and protect Prahlada Maharaja.  Prahlada Maharaja is Hiranyakasipu’s son. Although his father is demon, Prahlada Maharaja is a great devotee of Lord Visnu. Caturdasi is the fourtenth day in Gaurabda Calendar(also in another Hindu calendar). So, in this day, Lord Nrsimha appear to kill Hiranyakasipu. Hiranyakasipu was very strong demon. He was blessed by Lord Brahma so that he will not be able to be killed  neither by man nor by demigod.
So, Lord himself came to punish this demon. For the detail of this story please kindly can visit www.krishna.com. All glories to Lord Nrsimhadeva!  In Yasoshapura ashrama we celebrated this auspicious day by fasting till dusk. Usually we cook in the afternoon for lunch, but in this special day, we cook at around five o’clock evening. We held regular Gaura arati(evening prayer) and then break fast by the mercy of Lord Nrsimhadev! All glories to bhakta vigna vinasakha Nrismhadeva Bhagavan! Hare Krsna!

6.STUDY ''PIA-SAA KHMAE’

Jeum rieb sua! One times it is mentioned that one shouldn’t go to place where we don’t know the language used there. So, as a foreign volunteer in Cambodia, learning Khmer is very important thing. After several days, we tried to get person to teach us Khmer. Finally, when we walked around Wat Angkusa Pagoda, near our ashrama, we met one monk there. His name is Mr.Sok Sarita He told that he, in his free time, will kindly each us Khmer. After some discussion, we scheduled to learn on 08.00 up to 09.00 in the morning. So, everyday, after finishing morning sadhana(mangala arati, darshan arati, guru puja) and  having  prasadam, we come to his place in Wat Angkusa pagoda to learn Khmer. We are very happy to learn this language. Lie sen hauy!

NEW NAME BOARD IN KRISHNA GARDEN

Guna Avatara Prabhu with new name board

Once a time, 23rd May 2010,  Gunavatara prabhu had an idea to make one name board in our garden. On the next day, that was an ekadasi day, we got an old board from Mr.Thom, the owner of dormitory we rent. After that we got some paint, we wrote “ Krishna Garden, GLOVESCO Cambodia, Let’s produce our own food!” on the board. After dried in the sun, we tied the board on the front gate so that everyone can see it. This name board is very useful to give information and also spiritually benefit person when they spell “Krishna”. Conscious or unconsciously, they will chant the name of Supreme Personality of  Godhead. So, in this way it will purify their heart. Hare Krishna!
