Plan for Sri Krishna-Balrama Temple at SSKBK         15 years Back, during April / May 1993 when HH Bhakti Raghava Swami set his lotus foot for the first time on the grounds of Dakshina Karnataka (Sahayadri Keshtra) of south India, least did we envisage that this land will be blessed by the causeless mercy of this pure devotee that he shall chose this part of the globe to be the Global headquarters for the Global Varnasarama Mission (GLOVESCO)         It is said that supreme lord manifests his desire / his will- trough his pure devotees. so today when His Holiness expressed his wish that a SIMPLE temple be built for two cowherd boys originally from Goloka! we have to understand that this is actually the desire of the supreme personality of Godhead himself.         In Udipi there are two ancient temples of Sri Krishna & Sri Balarama established by Sripad Madhwacharya, but for some unknown mystical reasons both the temples are far away from each other. So its quite sometime both these brothers feel separated and now they want to live together in the same place, some nice place in midst of cows and devotees. so to arrange for their manifestation they chose another beloved representative of theirs, from the same lineage of Sripad Madhwacharya.         This morning my friend who is studying astrology was telling me about the chart of lord Chaitanya! he was telling me how it was mention in the chart that lord shall take liking to forest (Vrindavan) and hills (Nilachala). So at SSKBK we are in the middle of forest and surrounded by hills (Sahayadri range). So this shall be a ideal setting for Sri Krishna Balarama to stay and for us to serve them. They shall be the proprietors of our farm and our hearts.         There is a great task ahead of us! to build a very nice Temple for these two cowherd boys... Gurudev wants the temple to be build in a traditional manner:- NO Concrete, NO Cement, NO Steel, NO Artificial Tiles, NO Electricity. So we got to use only Mud tiles, Wood, Stones, Lime mortar etc. Maybe its gonna be first of its kind temple within ISKCON movement.         when I was suggesting to have some smooth stone Tiles on the temple halls Gurudev said no lets have rough stones slabs and let devotees smoothen them out by dancing on them. Naturally lots of dancing in store for all of you! There shall be another wonderful features of this temple ...for example we plan Balarama deity in Black complexion! (South Indian Style). They shall be dressed like simple cowherd boys. We shall have their darshan.. not in the glare of electric lamps, but Ghee/Oil lamps. They shall have their own swimming pool or Pukur (Pond)         so on this wonderful occasion of Gurudev's Vyasa Puja I humble invite all of to share and visualize this beautiful temple for our simple cowherd boys! they are impatiently waiting to come! let the dream unfold ......
